The Computer Engineering Department was established in the year 1996. The department was accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi . Having started with a four year under-graduate program, B. E. (Computer Engineering).
The goal of the department is to establish state-of-the-art computing environment to develop competent computer engineers imbibed with the spirit of professionalism and responsible citizenship.
The department has continuously upgraded the infrastructure according to changing needs. Campus wide Centralized Internet Browsing Centre (IBC) with lease-line connectivity of 6 Mbps is managed by the department and is accessible to all students. Libraries are enriched with heaps of books and good collection of reputed International and National Journals, magazines, e-books.
Campus-wide collaborations with industries, aided in bridging the gap between academics and industries. Industry offered projects, trainings, workshops and experts’ lectures provide students, faculties with excellent exposure to world of practice. Incredible technical efforts and enthusiasm of students and due guidance of faculties drew excellent opportunities in giants like Microsoft, Google, IBM, Cognizant, Accenture, Tata Consultancy services, Persistent Systems Pvt. Ltd. and many more. Our students imprinted their success in competitive and other exams like GATE, GRE, GMAT also. To unleash students’ talent, every year department organizes technical festivals like ‘TECHTONIC’ and a project competition ‘FINEPRO’. Invitees from renowned institutes and industries are invited to judge the competence of the students. Exploring the other world of talent, our students have shown excellence in sports, cultural and social activities.
Always a step ahead, our department was the first to host ‘C-PGCON’, a university level conference for PG students to showcase their talent. Faculties have showcased their contribution through research projects funded by agencies like ISRO, AICTE and BCUD. Department has always shown its commitment towards achieving objectives through individual contribution.
